Making a great submission video
We know as devs, your expertise lies behind the scenes - so keep building! - however, the submission video needs time too! It's often the first thing that judges and voters review.
Your video tells the story behind your submission, providing a clear display of your project and talent in a video:
- Establish your elevator pitch. In the first few seconds of your video, explain how your app solves a pain point leveraging the Microsoft Graph Security API. Within 60 seconds, viewers tend to lose interest, so use this time wisely to keep them engaged!
- Show, don't tell.…

Learn More About Alerts
Microsoft Graph Security API Alerts are potential security issues within a customer's tenant that Microsoft or partner security solutions have identified and are flagged for action or notification. With the Microsoft Graph Security alerts entity, you can unify and streamline security issues across all integrated solutions. This also enables applications to correlate alerts and context to improve threat protection and response. These unlock security operational efficiencies by reducing investigation time and time to resolution for incidents. With the alert update capability, you can sync the status of specific alerts across different security products and services that are integrated with the…

30 Days of Microsoft Graph
Are you new to Microsoft (MS) Graph or need some help getting started with your hackathon project?
Throughout the month of November 2018, during their 30 Days of Microsoft Graph series, Microsoft posted daily articles aimed to introduce developers to Microsoft Graph (there are 30 total!) Each of these articles contains content that covers 0-level to 200-level topics. Each post should take you 5-15 mins to read and try out the sample exercises. No prior knowledge of MS Graph is required. Microsoft’s hope with this segment was that beginners will quickly pick up the content and that experts will…

Steps to be aware of before making request to use our demo data (option a, Resources)...
It's great to see some of us have started on the Hackathon! While you are following the steps in the Resources -> Getting Started guide, please keep these steps in mind if you want to request access to our demo data.
Any application you build for the Hackathon needs to include the Graph Security alerts or SecureScore entities as per Resources guidance and documentation references. For building a Graph Security application that reads and updates alerts you need SecurityEvents.ReadWrite.All permission for your application. Hence, while registering your application, if you want to use our demo data, please follow these steps…
